Breeding Australian Labradoodles
We chose to breed Australian Labradoodles in part because of the strict standards the ALAA has for member breeders.
Required Genetic Testing
Every breeding dog has his or her DNA profile registered with the ALAA. We also have the dogs tested for Progressive Retinal Atrophy, Progressive Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd) and for Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC).
Physical Testing
An X-Ray of the hips and elbows of each breeding dog is graded by the OFA. In order to maintain our Gold Paw Breeder status with the ALAA, each of our breeding dogs has an eye exam every eighteen months.

Purebred Australian Labradoodles
The ALAA defines puppies born from a line of at least four multi-genration Australian Labradoodles to be purebred.
